Honey Crisp Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- Servings: 9
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3/4 cup shredded coconut (i usually toast about 1/2 of it and leave 1/2 plain)
- 3/4 cup cereal flake
Recipe
- 1 sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
- 2 cut in shortening.
- 3 add egg and milk, stirring only until all the flour is moistened.
- 4 spread into greased 9 inch square pan.
- 5 mix topping ingredients together.
- 6 cover batter with topping.
- 7 bake 25-30 minutes in 400 degree oven.
- 8 cut into squares.
- 9 best served warm.
