Ingredients
- 10 ounces coffee
- 4 ounces milk
- dry sweetener (optional)
- liquid sweetener (optional)
Recipe
- 1 freeze the coffee in an ice cube tray. use shaped ice trays to improve the presentation of the coffee cubes.
- 2 to serve, heat the milk using your preferred method.
- 3 if you're using a dry sweetener like sugar, you'll need to add it in to the milk while it's hot.
- 4 fill a tall glass with coffee cubes. do not allow the cubes to overshoot the rim of the glass.
- 5 pour the hot milk into the glass of coffee cubes.
- 6 if you're using a liquid sweetener, like honey or syrup, you can add it now.
- 7 stir and enjoy as the coffee cubes melt and the latte gets increasingly cold.
- 8 play around with the proportions of coffee cubes to milk, according to your preference.
- 9 safety reminder: when pouring hot liquid into a glass, put a metal spoon (or anything metal) in the glass to absorb the heat of the liquid and prevent damage to the glass.
