Coffee Cake Muffins

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 cup shortening
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Recipe

• 1 sift together flour, sugar, baking powder,& salt; cut in shortening.
• 2 combine egg and milk; add to flour.
• 3 stir until moist.
• 4 combine filling ingredients together.
• 5 fill greased muffin tins with 3/4 of dough; sprinkle with filling and top with remaining dough.
• 6 bake@ 350 for 20 minutes.
