Inez's Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350f degrees.
- 2 cream butter, sugar, and vanilla.
- 3 add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each one.
- 4 sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together.
- 5 add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, ending with flour.
- 6 for topping, cut butter into brown sugar.
- 7 add flour.
- 8 mix well.
- 9 add cinnamon and nuts.
- 10 spread half the batter in a greased tube pan.
- 11 sprinkle with half the topping.
- 12 cover with remaining batter.
- 13 sprinkle with the remaining topping.
- 14 bake for 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
