Ingredients
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon clove
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup soft butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Recipe
- 1 rinse and drain the berries.
- 2 remove the stems, set aside.
- 3 sift the flour, baking powder, salt and spices together.
- 4 in a separate bowl work the butter until soft and creamy. add the sugar gradually, blending well. beat the eggs into the mixture and continue to beat until light and fluffy.
- 5 stir in the dry ingredients and the milk alternately, a little at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 6 add vanilla.
- 7 fold in fruit.
- 8 pour batter into a greased loaf pan (9×5×3) and bake in a preheated 350º oven for 1 hour.
