Low-fat Maple-walnut Ice Milk

Total Time: 14 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 14 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 1/2 cups 1% low-fat milk
  • 1 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup frozen egg substitute, thawed
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 combine first 4 ingredients in a bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until well blended.
  • 2 pour into the freezer can or a 2-quart hand-turned or electric freezer; (i used a large coffee can) let freeze for 1 1/2 hours.
  • 3 remove from freezer; stir in walnuts.
  • 4 put back in freezer for at least 12 hours.
