Dark Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter (cut into small pieces)
- 2/3 cup brewed black coffee
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup sifted dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Recipe
- 1 in a heavy saucepan heat coffee or water with brown sugar over medium heat, whisking until the sugar dissolves.
- 2 add in dutch cocoa powder with salt, whisking until smooth.
- 3 add in butter and vanilla, whisking until the butter has melted.
- 4 serve warm or room temperature.
