Dark Chocolate Sauce

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 2/3 cup brewed black coffee
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup sifted dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 in a heavy saucepan heat coffee or water with brown sugar over medium heat, whisking until the sugar dissolves.
  • 2 add in dutch cocoa powder with salt, whisking until smooth.
  • 3 add in butter and vanilla, whisking until the butter has melted.
  • 4 serve warm or room temperature.
