Mocha Pound Cake

Ingredients

- 2 cups cake flour
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
- 2/3 cup shortening or 2/3 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 2 ounces chocolate, melted and cooled
Recipe
- 1 sift together all dry ingredients.
- 2 combine with wet ingredients and blend well.
- 3 spread into a 8 inch baking pant and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 min until golden.
- 4 let cool.
