Cream Cheese Pecan Coffee Cake

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or 1 cup walnuts
Recipe
- 1 blend butter with cream cheese.
- 2 add sugar, beat until fluffy.
- 3 blend in eggs, baking powder, vanilla, soda, and salt.
- 4 mix in half the flour, then the milk. blend in remaining flour.
- 5 combine all topping ingredients except nuts.
- 6 spread half the cream cheese batter in greased 9x13 inch pan.
- 7 sprinkle with half the topping. spread remaining batter over top. sprinke with remaining topping and nuts.
- 8 bake at 350* for 30 to 35 minutes.
- 9 glaze if desired.
