Mochachino Cake

Ingredients

- 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, plus
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/4 canola oil
- 4 tablespoons instant coffee powder
- 2 tablespoons watkins unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup mini chocolate chip
- 2 (16 ounce) cans vanilla frosting
- chocolate curls, optional
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f coat 2 (9") round cake pans with cooking spray.
- 2 at low speed, beat cake mix, eggs, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup cream, oil, 2 tbsp coffee powder, and cocoa for 30 seconds.
- 3 increase speed to medium; beat 2 minutes.
- 4 stir in chips.
- 5 divide batter between pans.
- 6 bake 30 min or until toothpick inserted into centers come out clean.
- 7 cool on racks 20 minute remove from pans, cool.
- 8 combine remaining cream and coffee, stir into frosting, chill until spreadable.
- 9 place 1 cake layer on serving platter; spread with 1 cup frosting.
- 10 top with remaining cake layer.
- 11 spread top and side with frosting.
- 12 garnish with chocolate curls if desired.
