Homemade Kahlua

Ingredients

• 1 quart water
• 2 1/2 cups sugar
• 3 tablespoons instant coffee
• 1 tablespoon vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups vodka

Recipe

• 1 boil water, coffee and sugar.
• 2 just as it boils, turn down heat to medium low. simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. after two hours, you should have a syrup that coats the back of your spoon.
• 3 allow to cool. add vanilla and vodka.
• 4 store in a cool dry place. this will keep for at least 3 months!
