Georgia Ginger Coffee

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (20 ounce) can peach slices in syrup
  • 3 cups strong black coffee
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger (generous pinch)
  • orange, zest of, to garnish as desired

Recipe

  • 1 drain peaches & reserve syrup. in a blender or using an immersion blender, process half of the coffee & peaches for 1 minute.
  • 2 in a clean bowl, whip the cream, taking care not to overwhip.
  • 3 put 1 cup cold water, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger & peach syrup in a saucepan & bring to a boil over mod heat. reduce heat, simmer for 1 minute & then remove from heat.
  • 4 add blended peach/coffee mixture + the rest of the coffee to the pan & stir well. serve topped w/whipped cream & garnished w/orange zest as desired.
