Granite Steps Country Coffee Cake

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 ounce) can buttermilk biscuits
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries or 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375.
  • 2 grease 9 inch square baking dish.
  • 3 in small bowl combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • 4 separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits and cut each into quarters.
  • 5 dip each piece in melteed butter and coat with brown sugar mixture.
  • 6 arrange in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • 7 sprinkle with half the oats.
  • 8 combine the blueberries and sugar in a bowl and toss to coat.
  • 9 spoon over biscuits.
  • 10 sprinkle remaining oats on top.
  • 11 drizzle remaining butter over top.
  • 12 bake for 20 minutes or until cake is golden brown and center is done.
  • 13 cool for 20 minutes.
  • 14 serve warm.
