Fresh Peach Cake

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large fresh peaches, peeled, sliced
Recipe
- 1 sift together flour baking powder and salt.
- 2 cut in the shortening.
- 3 mix egg and milk together, then stir into flour mixture.
- 4 mix well, and pour batter into a greased oblong pan.
- 5 cover with peach slices.
- 6 sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- 7 bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
