Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup sour cream
• 2 cups apples, chopped
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Recipe

• 1 cream shortening and sugar.
• 2 add eggs and vanilla.
• 3 combine dry ingredients.
• 4 add dry ingredients to mixture with sour cream.
• 5 fold in apples.
• 6 spread into a 9x13 pan.
• 7 mix topping ingredients together and spread over the coffee cake.
• 8 bake at 350ºf. for 35 to 40 minutes.
