Creamy Feta-walnut Dip

Total Time: 3 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 3 ounces feta
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

Recipe

  • 1 place 2 cups plain nonfat yogurt in a sieve lined with a coffee filter.
  • 2 let stand in the refrigerator for 1 hour or overnight.
  • 3 discard the liquid and spoon the thickened yogurt into a small bowl.
  • 4 add 3/4 cup (3 ounces) crumbled feta cheese, 2 cloves minced garlic, 2 tablespoons finely chopped toasted walnuts, 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce.

  • 6 cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
