Coffee Cream Pie!

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 baked pastry shells
  • 12 egg whites
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350.
  • 2 combine flour, salt and sugar, mix well.
  • 3 add in the coffee and milk.
  • 4 cook until thick, and stir constantly.
  • 5 slowly stir in beaten yolks, cook 1 minute.
  • 6 add butter, combine.
  • 7 let cool well.
  • 8 when cooled, pour into shell.
  • 9 meringue:.
  • 10 beat whites until frothy. gradually add in the sugar and vanilla extract, & continue to beat until stiff.
  • 11 top pie with meringue.
  • 12 bake for 10-15 minutes.
